First (Days) Overview: Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring an LPN for our Oncology and Hematology Clinic at the Phillips Cancer Center. This is a full time, Day shift position in Charlottesville, VA. Hours : Four 9-hour shifts, 8AM to 5PM between Monday to Friday with rotating days off. No nights or weekends. Sign on bonus of $8,000 available for qualified candidates. About the position: The Licensed Practical Nurse role will assist six physicians and three advanced practice providers within the physician's clinic group at the Cancer center with rooming patients, vital signs, IV placement, and phlebotomy. You will be assisted by additional nursing staff (LPN, and RN's) to give the best possible care to our patients. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN must be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher level nurse and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services. Education

- Trade School Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing Program (Required)
- Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Phlebotomy Experience required
- IV setting experience preferred
- Oncology and Hematology experience preferred
- 1 year of experience required
