ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a hands-on Beverage Manager to lead our bar program while supporting both daily service and private dining events. This role is perfect for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in a neighborhood setting, and enjoys being visible on the floor. In addition to overseeing all beverage operations, this position includes regular floor management shifts, helping lead service and support the team during peak times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Beverage Program
- Oversee all beverage operations: wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings
- Maintain standards for recipes, presentation, and portion control
- Lead seasonal updates and special promotions
- Ensure consistent, friendly, neighborhood-style hospitality
Private Dining & Events
- Partner with the events team to create beverage packages for private dining and special events
- Design custom bar menus for celebrations, corporate dinners, and buyouts
- Lead beverage execution for events, including staffing, setup, and breakdown
- Participate in client tastings and planning meetings when needed
Floor Management
- Serve scheduled manager-on-duty shifts on the floor
- Support hosts, servers, and bartenders during service
- Assist with guest relations and service recovery
- Help maintain service standards and hospitality culture
Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Conduct regular inventories and control beverage costs
- Minimize waste and ensure accurate forecasting
Team Leadership
- Hire, train, and mentor bartenders and bar support staff
- Lead beverage education for the full service team
- Foster a positive, accountable team environment
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with liquor laws and responsible service practices
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized bar and storage areas
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of beverage leadership experience
- Experience with private dining or events preferred
- Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, spirits, and beer
- Comfortable leading teams and stepping into a floor management role
- Organized, service-driven, and calm under pressure
- Evening and weekend availability required
