Events Operations Manager – Restaurant

Reports To: Private Dine Manager
Position OverviewThe Events Operations Manager oversees the successful execution of all private dining events, restaurant buyouts, and special functions. This role ensures exceptional guest experiences by leading event-day operations, coordinating with culinary and service teams, and maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Lead on-site operations for all private events, from setup through breakdown, including expediting service
- Serve as manager-on-duty for events, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction
- Translate event contracts and BEOs into clear execution plans
- Create staffing schedules, timelines, and floor plans for events
- Lead pre-event briefings with FOH, BOH, and bar teams
- Act as primary on-site contact for event hosts and planners
- Partner with culinary and beverage leadership on menu timing and service flow
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and venue policies
- Monitor labor costs and event profitability
- Conduct post-event reviews to drive continuous improvement
- 3+ years of restaurant management, events, or hospitality operations experience
- Strong understanding of FOH and BOH service flow
- Proven leadership in fast-paced, guest-focused environments
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Private dining, catering, or special events background
- Experience in upscale or high-volume restaurant settings
- Familiarity with BEOs, POS systems, and event management tools
- Alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain)
- Events run smoothly, on time, and on budget
- Guests and hosts consistently provide positive feedback
- Teams feel supported, prepared, and motivated
- The restaurant is known for flawless private events and buyouts
