Department Overview Business Development & Implementation within Gas Strategy Execution and System Planning (GSESP) supports PG'E’s True North Strategy with the continued investment in a safe and reliable system, greening the gas supply and shaping the state’s policies. The team’s focus is on continuing the constructive progress to decarbonize the company’s gas supply with renewable gas while aggressively pursuing throughput increases to aid in the end uses thatquinta utilize our system. These goals would not be possible without the concerted activities in developing and driving implementation of strategy and regulatory policies to enhance the foundation of our projects, processes, contracts, and agreements. As with any section of our business, there is a parallel path heighten on operational efficiency, continuous improvement, analysis, and benchmarking.
Position Summary The Gas Strategy Regulatory Specialist, Expert is responsible for all aspects of BD&I’s regulatory components of our gas strategy to be compliant while supporting innovation in the way we do business to be highly effective and efficient in creating positive change. At times, the support may extend to other areas of GSESP due to cross-pollination of strategy. These responsibilities include oversight of providing content for regulatory filings, meeting with regulators and IOUs, engagement in regulatory proceedings, writing testimony with SME input, and responding to data requests. This regulatory support relates to projects and programs for large customer load, new gas supply, and fossil receipt points for interconnection projects in the gas system as well as extend to contracts and agreements. Additionally, the position will oversee education of regulatory understanding to better equip SMEs when completion of filings, testimony and data requests are needed.
Position Duties
Lead regulatory activities by writing testimony, responding to data requests, meeting with regulators and other IOUs, and providing content for regulatory filings (Advice Letter, applications, reports)
Manage all internal communications between subject matter experts regarding proceedings and cross-collaboration with different departments
Demonstrates broad expertise in project management
Applies advanced knowledge to wide-ranging regulatory issues
Develops innovative solutions and drives process improvement
Works with and leverages relationships with all levels of staffing within the department and across PG&E
Manage relations and expectations with Regulatory Relations
Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members
Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory between San Ramon and Oakland offices, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory (San Ramon/Oakland only).
Position will require approximately 25% of travel time in work schedule.
Successful candidates should expect to travel through PG&E Service Territory for projects, meetings, trainings, customer relationship building, etc.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality ofCraft job. The actual salary paid to an individual լրագր would be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to€ specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case‑by‑case basis related to these factors.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum:$132,000
Bay Area Maximum:$226,000
This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Manages highly complex gas interconnections with PG&E’s gas transmission system
Ensure all steps are followed for finalizing new interconnections including obtaining official applications, ensuring job cost estimates are produced and communicated to customer, completing standard form contracts, negotiating special facility agreements and/or any exceptional case agreements and arrange for approval at the CPUC, and monitor progress in engineering, design, project management and construction to ensure facilities are completed by the time the customer needs service.

Qualifications Minimum:
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related or equivalent experience
7 years of related experience in the natural gas industry
Desired:
MBA or equivalent graduate degree
