Residential Group Home Office Specialist (Office Specialist 2 – Salem/Keizer) The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a detail‑oriented, organized individual to serve as a Residential Group Home Office Specialist in the Stabilization and Crisis Unit (SACU). This full‑time, permanent position supports 18 residential group homes along the I‑5 corridor, ensuring efficient administrative operations, scheduling coordination, and documentation for staff and clients.

Position Overview • Employee Type: Full‑time • Location: Salem and Keizer, Oregon (travel between group home sites required) • Initial Salary Range: $3,492 – $4,734 per month (subject to COLA increase of 2.5% effective February 1, 2026) • Employment: Permanent, union represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)

Key Responsibilities

Provide a variety of clerical support tasks for residential group homes in a fast‑paced environment.

Manage and maintain multiple calendars, trackers, and spreadsheets.

Assist with interviews, selection, and hiring processes for new hires.

Enter, update, and track information using computer systems.

Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and resource allocations.

Prepare reports, documentation, and communications as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Two years of general clerical experience (keyboarding, word processing, document generation) **or**

An associate or higher‑level degree in any field, **or**

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Attributes

Attention to detail and ability to follow directions.

Strong time‑management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Clear written and verbal communication in a cross‑cultural environment.

Proficiency with computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, calendaring).

Experience working with diverse populations.

Background Checks and Requirements

Criminal history and background check required for finalists.

Drug testing for narcotics, methamphetamine, and other controlled substances.

Compliance with ODHS driving policy; offenses within the last 24 months may disqualify.

Must complete I‑9 and E‑Verify within three days of hire; no visa sponsorship offered.
