The Opportunity As a Phlebotomist/Front Office role (also called Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist) at one of our offices, you’ll provide an exceptional experience for our patients and help them accomplish an important part of their care journey by providing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You will be the first point of contact and the steward of the space, ensuring the look and feel of the office lobby aligns with the One Medical experience. You are a strong team player and an innovative problem solver, combining excellent specimen collection with tactful interpersonal skills during each interaction with patients, both at the front desk and in the lab.
What You’ll Likely Work On
Use impeccable C‑I‑CARE in all patient interactions, both clinical and administrative, ensuring a fluid and positive in‑office experience through patient intake, same‑day schedule management, follow‑up scheduling,ожнач billing, insurance, monitoring patient feedback and outreach as necessary.
Provide best‑in‑class venipuncture services to a population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, depending on office location.
Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as non‑blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.
Maintain high standards of in‑office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, processing, inventory upkeep and tool sterilization.
Answer patient messages,Going to follow up on lab cases, and assist providers and the virtual medical team with clerical duties such as biometric screening forms, medical record and consult review, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting.
Perform front‑of‑house duties including check‑in/check‑out, insurance verification, printing and paperwork tasks, prepping tests, and ensuring service‑level expectations.
Contribute to team development through rounding, attending huddles, participating in problem‑solving, and supporting in‑office providers with ad‑hoc asks.
Perform opening and closing duties, daily office upkeep, restocking supplies and organization.
Master our technology suite – Slack, G‑suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System – to interact with team members and complete daily work.
What You’ll Need
At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships and deliver customer‑centric solutions.
Strong written and verbal)>> communication skills.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in computer technology such as typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously.
Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams (remote teams a plus).
A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human‑centered, customer‑focused care.
A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges,-maintgebouw and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks.
Competitive Salary Starts at $20.25 per hour based on a full‑time schedule. This is a full‑time role (40 hours per week) with eight‑hour shifts നിയന്ത്രിത between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm, based in our Camelot Court office in Leawood, KS, with floating to our Grand Blvd office in Kansas City, MO.
