Position: Phlebotomist – 3631
Location: Huntersville, NC and area (float job – mileage expenses paid)
Schedule: Need to be available 6am‑6pm Monday‑Friday (likely 8‑5).
Projected duration: 3‑month contract + potential for salah.

Minimum 1 year of experience.
Must be comfortable working alone and doing hard sticks.
Responsibilities
Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explains venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients in a clear but courteous manner.
Demonstrates technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
Fully understands all physicians' orders.
Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
Labels, centrifuges, splits, and freezes specimens as required by test order.
Checks all test requisitions or computer labels against script to ensure 100% correct.
Packages specimens for transport, stores sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection containers, accurately labels, follows protocol to maintain specimen integrity.
Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
Attends annual department trainings.
Answers telephone calls, reads laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
Qualifications
Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
Minimum 6 months of work experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of experience with all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Must be comfortable working alone and performing hard sticks.
