Job Summary Towson University (TU) is a top-100 public university and one of the nation’s great colleges to work for. Located north of Baltimore, TU enrolls more than 19,000 students and is the second‑largest university in the prestigious University System of Maryland. The Counseling Center seeks a Staff Clinician to provide counseling and psychological services to the Towson University community and serve on university committees as appropriate. The clinician will participate in the Counseling Center’s doctoral training program and will collaborate on outreach and consultation efforts. Applicants with strong cultural competence expertise will receive extra consideration.
Responsibilities
Provide psychological services to students, faculty, and staff,batchincluding crisis intervention, assessment, counseling, treatment, and group services.
Consult students and families, and support campus mental health initiatives.
Contribute to the training of doctoral interns by conducting seminars and other training activities.
Provide clinical supervision to Counseling Center trainees when assigned.
japanese>• Maintain referral databases and community referral networks. Assist in outreach programming, including psycho‑education, health‑education, and online resources.
Participate in Student Affairs Division activities and university‑wide committees.
Provide after‑hours and weekend coverage for campus emergencies and scheduled outreach services.
Telework may be available up to twoKC days per week after 90 days of service in good standing.
Qualifications and Skills
Master’s degree and LCSW or participa LCPC license.
One year of experience providing counseling or psychological services.
Preferred: Experience working in a university counseling center.
Salary and Benefits Target hiring range is $74,000 – $77,500. Full university benefits include 22 days of annual leave, up to 17 holidays, personal and sick days; health, life, retirement plans; tuition remission. To learn more about benefits, see the Towson University benefits page.
