Major Responsibilities
Provide direct care to residents receiving restorative nursing to promote the resident’s maximum functional potential and minimize decline.
Deliver restorative care including restorative dining, splints, ADLs, bowel and bladder management, passive and active range of motion, ambulation and transfers.
Encourage residents to participate in their assigned programs through verbal cueing, one‑on‑one care and safety precautions.
Maintain documentation for each resident in the Restorative Program and notify management of any changes.
Implement innovative ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes for superior results.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent; certification/registration in the state of practice.
Maintain a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education to keep certification.
Preferably one year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population.
Knowledge and skills in basic restorative nursing principles and practices preferred.
