FOH Berkshire House Overnight Counselor, Pittsfield

CSO is looking for overnight Counselors for our FOH Berkshire House program in Pittsfield. The program is a 24‑hour, 7‑day fully supported transitional housing program staffed with peer‑led counselors and case managers. The counselor will be responsible for the care and treatment of clients and essential program operations.
Starting salary: $28,000–$44,000/year with premium shift pay for overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
Establish a 1:1 therapeutic relationship with each program client.
Provide support and safety for clients utilizing the program.
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including self‑care, cooking, recreation, and medication responsibilities according to individual treatment plans.
Prepare daily evening meal for clients and staff when working the evening shift, coordinating shift duties with other counselors.
Participate in treatment planning and clinical referrals as part of case management duties.
Monitor clients, including hourly bed checks and documentation, and provide closer observation as needed.
Participate in ongoing in‑service training to maintain, develop, and share counselor skills.
Administer and document medication.
Occasional food shopping and purchasing of supplies for daily program operations.
Present cases to insurance companies and obtain prior approvals as assigned.
Provide client transportation as needed.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant Human Services experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) strongly encouraged.
