FOH Berkshire House Shift муль Supervisor, Pittsfield
CSO is looking for a Shift Supervisor for our FOH (Friends of the Homeless) Berkshire House program in Pittsfield. This 24‑hour fully supported transitional housing program provides beds for chronically homeless individuals in Berkshire County and is peer‑led with Counselors and Case Managers. The Shift Supervisor will provide leadership and coordination for the counseling staff in collaboration with the management team.
Starting Salary: $42,000‑$48,000 per year.
You Will
Provide mentorship for new employees during orientation and serve as a role model for other program staff.
Champion education and training programs for Counselor Staff.
Coordinate food and menu planning, including assistance with shopping lists, purchase and delivery, and organization/storage of food supplies under the supervision of the director; collaborate with nursing staff and the director regarding residents’ nutritional needs.
Ensure access to personal care supplies and products for clients and guests.
Provide guidance for all routine employee‑related matters and confer with the supervisor on non‑routine personnel or other related matters affecting employees; address personnel issues as needed during the shift and notify the supervisor of issues and outcomes.
Support schedule development and staff work assignments; provide feedback to the supervisor regarding employee performance observed during shifts.
Serve as point of contact for building, Hone technical, client/guest, or operational issues that arise during the shift; address non‑critical issues directly and notify the supervisor or other management staff in accordance with established procedures.
Serve as point of contact for staff callouts after hours and weekends, coordinating appropriate coverage with management per established procedures.
Provide shift supervisory cross‑program coverage as directed.
Participate in the exacer Knowledge initiative and quality improvement initiatives.
Establish a 1:1 therapeutic gior everelationship with each program client.
Provide support and safety for clients using the program.
Assist clients with activities of daily living, including self‑care, cooking, recreation, and medication responsibilities according to individual treatment plans.
Prepare meals during the shift and coordinate shift duties with other counselors working the shift during meal preparation.
Share observations, interactions, and knowledge to develop 24‑hour care plans.
Your Background _pay Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Human services related work or internship (preferred).
Previous supervisory experience (preferred).
Computer proficiency.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
