Biology or Anatomy and Physiology Instructors – Adjunct
Part‑time adjunct teaching faculty appointment at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (Henrico). Salary commensurate with educational background and experience. Candidates must be able to travel to and teach on campus.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver on‑campus courses in Biology or Anatomy & Physiology (General Biology or focused courses).
Create a student‑centered classroom environment using a range of instructional strategies uruhḍ.
Incorporate technology routinely into instruction and faculty duties.
Attend required faculty meetings and uphold college policies.
May be required to perform additional duties as assigned and to assist the agency/state government in the event of an emergency declaration.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Biology or Anatomy and Physiology, or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in those fields.
Related occupational experience or teaching experience in one or more college‑level courses (developmental, occupational‑technical, university‑college transfer) or in high school Biology.
Wide range of coursework and/or teaching experience in the Biology subject area, especially in General Biology or Anatomy & Physiology.
Demonstrated ability to employ multiple teaching strategies to create student‑centered classrooms.
