Compensation Base pay: $68,000 – $76,000 per year.

Hourly rate: $34 – $38 per hour.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

3–5 years of general accounting experience

Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles, practices, and regulations

Experience with preparing and analyzing financial statements

Proficiency with accounting software such as Great Plains, QuickBooks, JDE, or Sage

Familiarity with tax regulations and ability to prepare tax filings

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Prepare year‑end workpapers to support the financial statement audit and tax return process.

Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.

Post journal entries and conduct reconciliations of bank accounts, inter‑company accounts, inventory accounts, and other general ledger accounts.

Maintain fixed assets and manage state and federal fuel return filings, sales tax, and highway use tax reports.

Assist with income and expense reporting and personal property declarations.

Maintain and update financial records in accounting software.

Reconcile financial discrepancies and collect and analyze account information.

Assist with tax preparation and filing.

Perform month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned by management.
