Dining Room Server – Senior Living Community (FT)
MorningStar Senior Living is looking for a Dining Room Server to join our senior living community. The role is non‑exempt, full time and offers a pay rate of $13.00 per hour. Schedule will be discussed during the interview.
Job Summary:
Provide high‑quality meal service and create a gracious dining environment. Responsibilities include accurate order taking, relaying orders to kitchen staff, and delivering exceptional customer service to our cherished residents.

Position Overview
Be present in the dining room for full meal service.
Assist with special functions as scheduled.
Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary, infection‑free environment at all times.
Oversight of bistro areas – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, and popcorn preparation.
Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes, and dislikes.
Serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
Participate in the Quality Assurance Committee as directed.
Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
Qualifications
Demonstration of core values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
Experience: Previous experience in a dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred, but not required.
Job knowledge: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Standards: Knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health department, and OSHA.
Team members scheduled to work 24 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits; families of such team members will also be eligible.
