Be among the first 25 applicants. The Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a Human Resource Analyst 3 to serve as an Employee Relations analyst for our veterans’ homes. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee labor relation issues, aid in investigations, work with unions on handling grievances, and maintain employee relations and morale. Serve as the Employee Relations analyst for assigned DMVA veterans’ homes. Negotiate and manage labor relations issues and contract-related activities with appropriate bargaining units. Collaborate with the DMVA Safety Coordinator and Training Officer to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed. Investigate allegations of employee misconduct; gather information and prepare findings to inform appropriate disciplinary actions. Review sick leave usage and arrest/criminal reports to determine any necessary actions under the Governor's Code of Conduct. Review grievance information to assess whether timely and logical alternatives have been presented by the union. Provide supervisors with training and development on labor relations topics; assist with performance management and the development of performance improvement plans; provide feedback on Employee Performance Reviews. Full-time employment Work hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch Telework: Potential for part-time telework up to 5 days out of 10, subject to approval and location requirements; if not teleworking, report to the HQ at Fort Indiantown Gap Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 (Commonwealth title or equivalent Federal Government title) or Three years of analytical experience including two years of professional HR experience, and a bachelor’s degree, or An equivalent combination of experience and training Other Requirements
Meet PA residency requirements Possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap Ability to perform essential job functions Legal Requirements
