The Position Are you ready to take your human resource (HR) career up a notch? If so, consider joining the Department of Corrections as a Human Resource Analyst 3 within the Labor Relations Division. This position allows you to utilize your analytical and communication skills to provide technical assistance and advice to Central Office Executive Staff, Institutional Superintendents, and Field Human Resource Officers. Description of Work As a Human Resource Analyst 3, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of employee misconduct as well as reviewing, investigating, and responding to grievances. Your work involves providing appropriate interpretation to supervisory or managerial personnel on the meaning and method of implementation of collective bargaining agreement provisions. Effective communication is essential as you will develop and foster working relationships with the unions representing agency employees and correspond with the unions on a regular basis to successfully resolve and/or settle contractual and disciplinary matters. You will also participate in and conduct labor/management meetings with union representatives and act as a liaison with other programs regarding issues with labor‑management implications. You will be responsible for conducting investigatory interviews, fact‑finding meetings, and pre‑disciplinary conferences.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full‑time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non‑negotiable.

Qualifications
One year as a Human Resource Analyst 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Three years of analytical experience that includes two years of professional human resource experience, and a bachelor’s degree; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
