Position Overview The Washington State Patrol’s Field Operations Bureau is seeking a self‑starter to provide clerical support for District 1, which serves Pierce and Thurston Counties. The role involves high‑volume public contact at the front window or telephone, handling complex clerical projects, and supporting district operations on state and interstate highways.
Responsibilities
Assist the general public at the counter or by telephone with inquiries about rules, regulations, policies, and services.
Receive, track, and maintain office supplies and department equipment.
Collect and process impound hearing requests,ാണ് subpoenas, and hardship requests.
Perform complex word processing tasks, including digital voice‑recorded transcriptions.
Accurately enter Time and Activity Reports for payroll in the TAS II computer system.
Instill and maintain filing systems; run collision and impound reports, ensuring timely completion.
Communicate information to all levels of the organization; maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues.
Screen public and agency inquiries to appropriate personnel; schedule and record training in the eTrain system.
Assist the APA Lieutenants, Sergeants, and Troopers with daily functions.
Coordinate overtime between outside agencies and selected commissioned personnel. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
