Position Overview:
We are seeking a
Senior Estimator
with deep experience in
transmission, distribution, and substation projects . The ideal candidate will develop accurate, competitive bids, analyze project costs, and collaborate with project management and field teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for
T&D and substation projects , including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scope.
Analyze plans, specifications, and site conditions to develop accurate takeoffs and budgets.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure
estimates reflect true project requirements .
Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Track project estimating metrics, historical data, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of
substation equipment, transmission/distribution systems, SCADA, automatic switches, and protective devices .
Proficiency in estimating software (e.g.,
Trimble, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar ).
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Willingness to
travel to project sites nationwide .
