This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in photonic component design, modeling, and layout, who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.### **Key Responsibilities:*** Design, model, and layout photonic components and integrated circuits using industry-standard tools.* Set up and execute design of experiments (DoE) to validate and optimize photonic designs.* Analyze test data to extract performance metrics and guide design improvements.* Translate customer requirements into system-level concepts and PIC architectures.* Contribute to the enhancement of existing photonic platforms.* Maintain and update design libraries, documentation, and standard operating procedures.## YOUR PROFILE* Degree in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).* Proven experience in photonic design and simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, IPKISS, Synopsys, etc.).* Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB).* Familiarity with PIC fabrication processes and testing methodologies.* Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.### **Preferred Skills:*** Experience with silicon photonics or other integrated photonic platforms.* Knowledge of optical communication systems and applications.* Experience working with customer-driven design requirements.* At Capgemini Belgium we offer flexibility in more than one way: next to our hybrid way of working, where we offer you can work 70% from home, we also offer our flex abroad program.
