Description Medical Office Manager role at Astrana Health.

What You’ll Do

Directly manage operations and performance of the outpatient medical clinic, including daily operations, revenue cycle, provider schedules and productivity, claims, and budget.

Develop and lead a cross‑functional team of medical assistants, patient concierges, medical records specialists, and others to deliver best‑in‑class care experiences for patients and community, ensuring the team meets performance goals and coaching/mentoring individuals as needed.

Monitor clinic activities and outcomes against defined goals/KPIs such as patient satisfaction, clinical/non‑clinical staff satisfaction, clinic productivity, profitability, HCC performance, and STAR performance.

Identify root causes of operational deficiencies and help implement best tools, processes, and trainings to correct deficiencies and control costs, working with Site Administrators and other leaders to share learnings across the organization.

Build relationships within the community and support growth and marketing initiatives.

Monitor impact on each site of actual and projected growth in membership, utilization, etc.

Collaborate with the Medical Director, Site Administrator, and central leadership team to improve provider satisfaction.

Address and resolve provider‑related issues.

Report on progress, operational issues, and potential areas of future concern.

Exude professional demeanor at all times and enforce the same with site teams.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies; respond appropriately and expeditiously to any emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.

Qualifications

3 years of relevant healthcare experience, including at least 2 years of management experience.

Demonstrated ability to adapt and effectively lead in a fast‑paced environment where change is common.

Skillful operator who takes a data‑driven, process‑oriented approach toward continuous improvement of clinic operations.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

Bilingual Spanish (exemption possible based on experience).

Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

Customer‑service oriented with a focus on providing a positive experience for both internal and external stakeholders.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

Position is in office at 509 W Tidwell Suite 200, Houston, TX 77091.

Target pay range: $64,000 – $74,000 annually. Compensation determined by location, experience, and other factors.
