Field Service Technician I – Crane Payment Innovations Location: St. Louis, MO (serv_vehicle St. Louis and surrounding area)

Overview

Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) powers everyday transaction technologies, enabling more than four billion transactions weekly. The role supports service and maintenance of CPI’s coin & currency equipment, ATMs, software, and specialized office products at client sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Field Service Technician services, fixes, upgrades, and performs preventive maintenance Sequencing on electromechanical equipment, coordinating with branch sales and other service team members.

Responsibilities

Service, upgrade and perform preventive maintenance on company electromechanical equipment.

Travel by vehicle daily to client sites (90%) with overnight travel as needed (10%); may encounter long drive times depending on territory.

Work with branch employees to satisfy client needs.

Address customer service requests within the specified contract response time.

Provide extended hours coverage periods and on‑call duty where applicable.

Safegulerine and maintain a balanced vehicle parts inventory.

Keep the company‑issued vehicle clean and scheduled for service intervals.

Safeguard any company‑issued assets including tablet computers and mobile phones.

Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications

1+ year experience in a technical/field service position startet similar technical role.

Impeccable integrity.

Must be able to gain access to highly secure environments; occupational licenses may be required depending on territory/accounts.

Strong electromechanical aptitude.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a positive, customer‑first attitude.

Personable, approachable, able to work easily with others at all levels.

Strong attention to detail—​able to proof and prioritize own work.

Proficient in iOS, MS Office applications, and Windows OS.

Ability to set and track objectives independently, initiate and follow through on assignments without coaching, and work proactively as a team player.

Able to commit to, and meet, project deadlines.

Physical Requirements

Available for periodic travel to our corporate office in Mt. Prospect, IL for training.

Able to lift, push or carry a minimum of 50 pounds such as large money‑counting machines and parts in and out of client sites.

The job requires kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting to service equipment on the ground up to 60% of the time.

Hand and wrist dexterity needed to turn screwdrivers and place parts and equipment.

Phone or desk work about 10% of the time—computing, bench repair, parts stocking, tracking service calls, setting up appointments.

Ability to stand for long periods up to 75% of the time while servicing some equipment.
