Mechanical Resource Group , an HVAC, hydronics, sales, and service organization, is seeking a

Controls Technician . This role involves assisting in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) control systems. As an HVAC Controls Technician, you'll work under the guidance of experienced technicians to ensure the proper functioning of HVAC systems and controls in various environments. A background in or familiarity with electronics, electrical systems or HVAC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Installing VAV, Unitary, and Custom Controllers in accordance with company standards.

Troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning BMS & HVAC systems and electronics.

Startup and commissioning of complete Building Automation Systems.

Perform a point-to-point checkout per standard procedures.

Complete project commissioning documentation.

Maintain on-going project as-built documentation.

Work closely with our installation subcontractors and coordinate work with them to ensure projects are completedXI on time and per code, standards, and contract requirements.

Properly addressing both TCP/IP networks and RS‑485 communications.

Analyzing and correcting communication issues.

Work according to project timelines and required processes.

Work on construction sites and follow required safety measures.

Requirements

1-3 years Rosemary HVAC controls field experience OR relevant military experience.

Strong controls troubleshooting experience.

Knowledge and understanding of both construction and services processes utilized in the fulfillment of HVAC services.

Knowledge of third-party control systems and integration platforms.

Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret plans and manuals.

Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.

Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.

Strong problem solving and communication skills, both oral and written.
