Location: Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury CT Cancer Center. 40 hours, Day Shift. Full time.

You will be primarily responsible for obtaining blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and providing patient information to the appropriate caregiver. You will ensure accurate and complete patient registration.
What You Will Do
Properly identify patient per policy and perform venipuncture using standard or butterfly methods
Label all specimens following laboratory policy
Receive/cancel/orders and process laboratory/microbiology specimens
Flexible to cover other sites when needed
Work Hoursdims
40 hours per week, Days
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of phlebotomy program
National Phlebotomy Certification preferred
Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a blood draw station, ambulatory care or acute care setting
Knowledge in the use of information system
Strong communication skills
Ability to effectively work and communicate with patients, staff and outside providers
Ability to take initiative and work alone
