Position Title
Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU Recovery
Job Overview Full Time – Days. Commitment Bonus: $15,000. You will provide direct and indirect patient care in the Recovery/Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will meet the physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs of patients and families and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

Education & Licensure
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (or Bachelor’s) from an accredited program
Current RN license in the state of practice (or valid multistate compact license)
BLS required; ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire
Department/Unit Summary
Monday‑Friday position with limited weekend requirements.
Limited call: one night call every other week and one rotating weekend call approximately every 10–12 weeks.
Phase 1 recovery: monitor patient for 30 minutes–1 hour after anesthesia before passing to Phase 2.
Phase 2 recovery: review discharge paperwork, give patient snack and medication, discharge if criteria met.
Responsibilities
Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation care for patients in the PACU.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and surgical recovery status continuously.
Communicate changes in patient condition to the surgical team.
Educate patients and families about postoperative care and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of one year of nursing experience, preferably in a PACU or critical care setting.
Current RN license and BLS certification.
ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of surgical procedures and postoperative recovery.
