Typewriter Therapeutics is a genome engineering and next-generation gene therapy company. Through repurposing a class of genetic elements from various natural genomes, Typewriter Therapeutics aims to develop an all-RNA-mediated gene writing platform via nonviral delivery to address unmet therapeutic needs.

Role Description We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative and resourceful scientist/senior scientist with extensive experience in CAR-T and T cell biology. The successful candidate will be a key member of the immunology team, to enable both early-stage discovery research efforts as well as the development of drug product formulations for our preclinical animal study candidates. This is a hands-on, on-site laboratory role. This individual will be responsible for the design and optimization of our CAR-T in vitro assays and will interface with cross-functional teams including delivery, analytical, pharmacology, and manufacturing to advance platform initiatives and pipeline programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing CAR-T in vitro assays (including co-cultures, cytokine release assays, immunophenotyping, CAR-T cell expansion, flow cytometry, ex-vivo processing, etc). Previous experience with LNPs, pharmacology, CAR-T design, and gene editing is a plus. The candidate is expected to be a strong collaborator who enjoys scientific discovery, has a passion for working on cutting-edge technology, and can communicate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and interdisciplinary environment.
