Overview Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our Midlothian and Dallas, Tx locations. This full‑time position is Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm with no weekends, calls or major holidays. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with over 600 providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. What the Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) Does Under minimal supervision, the RN provides professional care for patients, adhering to national and company standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, supports compliance programs, and contributes to staff training. The RN is responsible for the administration of therapies, medication, and blood products, patient assessment, dose calculations, and documentation.
Responsibilities
Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching.
Prepare and administer therapies under physician supervision.
Administer all medications/blood products correctly.
Obtain pre‑authorization and consent forms before therapy.
Facilitate dose adjustments based on labs and protocol.
Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports and maintain central line devices.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
0‑3 years of RN experience.
Eligible for entry, mid, or senior level.
Current RN state license in the practicing state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Working Conditions The work environment includes potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations typical of an oncology/hematology clinic.
Physical Requirements Requires full range of motion, lifting up to 40 lbs, standing/walking extensive periods, and normal vision/hearing. Reasonable accommodations available.
