Associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensure, Certifications & Registrations
Registered nurse licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or AHA‑recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Physical and mental fitness to perform job functions (standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors/outdoors, etc.). Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for tasks such as taking patient vitals, administering injections, or conducting physical exams. Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts and monitors. Auditory ability to communicate effectively and detect alarms. Stamina to handle long shifts and stressful situations. Mobility to navigate clinical environments and compliance with infection control protocols and PPE use. Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors and outdoors in temperature extremes, from elevated areas, in confined/cramped spaces, and from kneeling positions. Must maintain vision, hearing, and ability to handle stressful situations. Must work rotating shifts, overtime, latex‑safe environment, and respiratory protection if required.
