Purpose The EMEA Financial Accountant role is a key function within the finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting and processes. It acts as a bridge between transactional finance and strategic decision‑making, providing insights that support business performance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and verify intercompany recharges with counterparties
Perform revenue reconciliation, including accrued and deferred revenue for assigned entities on monthly basis
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and Accounts Receivable ageing reports to support Treasury
Ensure timely and accurate completion of day-to-day and month‑end tasks for assigned entities
Partner with FP&A team on a monthly budget vs actual review
Prepare financial statements under Local GAAP
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
Manage ad‑hoc requests and assist with urgent tasks as needed Countless
Actively participate in continuous improvement projects across the Finance function ustawienie
Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and willingness to assist others during peak periods or complex tasks
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of total experience in an accounting role is required
Experience in financial reporting within a complex multinational environment Alphabeta
Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements, general ledger functions, and month‑end/year end close processes and audits
Strong understanding of Local GAAP and IFRS
Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
Skillset
Ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
Ability to explain financial concepts to non‑finance stakeholders
Handling ad‑hoc requests and urgent tasks effectively
Proactive in identifying process enhancements
