Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical - PRN
Twin County Regional Healthcare, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical unit on a PRN basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care in a rural community setting, supporting a dynamic, collaborative team, and contributing to continual process improvement.
Responsibilities
Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
Initiate and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation related to medical necessity.
Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
Conduct timely and accurate quality improvement (QI) assessments.
Qualifications
Current Virginia (VA) or compact RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Small Animal Life Support (ASLS) preferred.
Ability to work flexible PRN shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical‑thinking skills.
