General Accountability: The Shipper/Receiver Assistant is responsible for supporting the shipping and receiving operation of the warehouse. This role involves preparing, loading, and unloading shipments, verifying shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods.
Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Package/Label/Shrink Wrap orders for shipment.
Prepare orders and returns for double check from Warehouse Operations/HSE Associate.
Process payments on credit cards provided through BC Dynamics for customer invoices.
Provide Completed documents to Warehouse Operations/HSE Associate for review and distribution.
Shipment tracking for customers or vendors.
Work in accordance with Quality system to meet customer requirements and eliminate non-conforming products and services.
Communicate with carriers on quotes (price and pickup/delivery time) for customers on shipments and schedule pickups.
Problem solving on shipping issues for customers/vendors.
Confirm shipments from vendors/customer to Carrier BOL (number of packages matching).
Unload trucks and inspect/unpack received goods.
Receive and put inventory into dedicated BINS.
Product rotation and organize inventory warehouse.
Physical counts and preparation for End of year counts.
Ensure the product is labelled according to customer instructions or customs Requirements.
Warehouse cleanup and inspections.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
OSHA basic training is an asset.
1+ years’ experience, preferably in a Warehouse or General Laborer position.
Proficiency in MS Office Applications, Internet, and Dynamics BC ERP.
Good physical condition and ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, walk and lift for extended periods of time.
