Position Summary: This role will ensure the efficient day‑to‑day operations of all equipment in FCC’s MRF facilities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and maintains PM program for processing equipment by scheduling and managing all maintenance activities
Manages the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; adhering to operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Ability to identify problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
Manages full‑time, temporary and contract maintenance personnel
Develops and maintains contracts with vendors
Ability to purchase and negotiate cost effective tools, parts and maintenance/repair service from suppliers
Manages and avoids downtime by leading personnel in routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring adherence
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Education
High School Diploma
Post‑secondary education in Mechanical Engineering
Experience And Competencies
Previous MRF experience
3-5 years of experience in a maintenance management role
Experience with Microsoft Excel is required
Strong attention to detail
Prompt, professional and dependable demeanor
