Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an A&P Mechanic at American Winds College of Aeronautics, located in Akron, OH. The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, repairing aircraft systems, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. Key responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, and maintaining aircraft and related equipment to guarantee the safety and reliability of all operations. The role requires close collaboration with the maintenance team and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
Proficiency in aircraft maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting
Possession of current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
Strong understanding of FAA regulations and aviation maintenance practices
Excellent problem‑solving skills and hands‑on technical expertise
Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑standard work
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience working with general aviation or flight school aircraft is advantageous
High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training is a plus
