Job Responsibilities The Planner will be responsible for developing, establishing and managing all planning and production scheduling activities for the converting operation, supporting the supply chain team and ensuring that the department objectives are met.

Essential Functions

Build, establish and manage an accurate, reliable and efficient Master Production Schedule (MPS).

Ensure production plans, inventory levels and cycle reports are efficient, accurate and reliable.

Gather input from Sales, Marketing and Production in a structured formal venue to achieve plan accuracy and efficiency and to develop and maintain accurate production and inventory plans to meet forecast needs.

Communicate any over/under capacity conditions and recommendations for risk mitigation in converting.

Develop and provide inventory level reports for FG with actual and optimum levels (weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual) for inventory turnover, inventory accuracy, and inventory adjustments including root cause analysis.

Ensure that all production schedules and reports are in place, available and always communicated to all required personnel.

Collaborate with the Procurement, Paper Mill Planning, Production Manager to confirm the production schedule before distribution.

Continuously look for innovative ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste as well as to improve process efficiency.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or other similar technical degree.

1‑3 years’ experience in scheduling in a manufacturing environment; paper mills or paper industry is preferred.

Innovative thinker: possess the ability to evaluate large amounts of information.

Able to work in a time‑bound environment.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to multi‑task and balance conflicting objectives.

Technical/software skills; SAP and Excel.

Sense of Sound (within normal range) and touch.

Work Environment Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when in the plant and warehouse areas. PPE will include safety shoes, eye and ear protection, reflective vests and hairnets or hats along with any other necessary protection. Temperatures in the plant/warehouse can range a great deal from season to season. The employee will be exposed to considerable paper dust and employees will also be exposed to noise levels that will require hearing protection.
