Duties / Responsibilities
Thorough knowledge of wastewater and sewer rehabilitation construction materials, technologies, and equipment.
Utilize technical knowledge of construction inspection, construction field management, QA / QC and report documentation on various municipal water and wastewater treatment projects.
Maintain quality assurance requirements and approaches and monitor code compliance issues.
Review submittals and other construction documents and recommend technical solutions.
Prepare test results documentation to relay job progress and describe unusual job site conditions.
Learns job‑related material through on‑the‑job training and in‑classroom setting regarding field and laboratory sampling and testing procedures.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of inspection experience in sanitary sewer systems.
Must be NASSCO Certified (PACP, MACP, and LACP).
Inspector experience required.
GSWCC Level 1B Soil and Erosion Certificate required.
GWWI Water Distribution System Operator License required.
Valid driver’s license and be insurable.
Attention to detail and documentation.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, and the public.
Ability to interact with contractors and construction personnel to assure quality.
Strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Physically mobile in and around construction sites.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to safely perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other regulatory standards.
Worker may be exposed to variable climate and environmental conditions.
