This is a foundational platform role requiring significant thought leadership. This leader will guide a critical modernization journey while also shaping our Commercial Bank's broader automation strategy. This person will also create a broader Data Tooling roadmap and drive adoption across the Commercial Bank.
Mission: To lead the product vision for Commercial's core data platform ("Refinery") through a modernization journey to decouple metrics from infrastructure. To own the product strategy for our RPA bot team, turning tactical wins into a strategic automation capability. To understand Data Tooling needs across the Commercial Bank and advocate for adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Evangelize Platform Modernization: Partner with the Refinery tech team to define a roadmap that makes the data environment more portable and efficient, incorporating enterprise tooling where appropriate. Your goal will be to help stakeholders understand how this work meaningfully improves the business and how they can take part in it
Master Storytelling: Translate complex, dense technical work into a compelling narrative about business value and tech transformation for non-technical stakeholders
Stakeholder Management: Build partnerships and drive alignment across a challenging and technically deep subject area
Develop Automation Strategy: Act as the product manager for the RPA bot team, shaping an overarching automation strategy that can be socialized with leadership to deliver larger, more strategic wins
Cross LOB Partnership: Partner with your peers in the SBB Data Modernization space to identify areas of collaboration on Data Tooling and drive adoption of tooling across Commercial
Ideal Profile
Strong background in platform product management or engineering leadership, with experience leading modernization initiatives
Deep technical expertise in modern data stacks and an understanding of RPA or other automation technologies
Masterful communication and storytelling skills, with proven experience influencing senior leaders and difficult stakeholders
Thought Leader: Able to see the entire ecosystem, develop a strong but flexible point of view, and influence others to follow it
Force Multiplier: Motivated by enabling the success of other teams through powerful platforms and tools
Resilient & Persuasive: Can navigate resistance and build consensus around complex, long-term technical investments
White Space Operator: Skilled at defining structure, process, and vision in new or poorly defined problem areas
AI-Curious: Eager to learn and apply AI tools to enhance brainstorming, requirements gathering, and product strategy

Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience working in Product Management
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:
A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

Salary ranges for locations:
Charlotte, NC: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management
McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management
Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, including cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
