CASA Program for Bracken, Fleming, and Mason Counties
The mission of the CASA Program for Bracken, Fleming and Mason Counties, Inc. is to provide trained community volunteers to speak for children in court who are victims of dependency, neglect and/or abuse. Advocate for Children who are victims of dependency, neglect and/or abuse. CASA volunteers visit the child approximately once a month. They work as facilitators to secure resources and services such as therapeutic evaluations for a child and family, tutoring services, educational resources, medical services, etc. CASA volunteers provide consistency and facilitate a strong foundation for a child’s growth and development. The CASA volunteer remains on the case until it is permanently resolved. CASA volunteers are fully sanctioned by district judges to be an official voice for these children during court hearings. The result is that children are placed into a safe, loving home where they can thrive in a stable family environment.
