As a PR Specialist, you support fashion publicity initiatives in the U.S. and Canada, positioning H&M as an aspirational brand through top‑tier press coverage, brand activations, and events. You partner closely with cross‑functional commercial teams to adapt global fashion projects for local relevance. You cultivate relationships with journalists and internal stakeholders to drive storytelling around key launches and campaigns that elevate brand perception and help achieve business goals. Responsibilities
Drive fashion publicity for H&M in the U.S. and Canada, executing holistic earned‑media strategies across print, digital, broadcast, and non‑traditional channels. Maintain relationships with journalists and influencers and adapt H&M’s global fashion PR plan, building a local PR calendar that incorporates key cultural moments. Monitor fashion industry news and ideate new ways to generate exposure and excitement around the brand. Collaborate with local cross‑functional teams to identify short‑term and long‑term actions supporting PR initiatives. Seek new opportunities for external partnerships and events to amplify H&M’s fashion offering and expose the brand to strategic audiences. Draft and edit press materials including press releases, messaging documents, and pitches. Support corporate communications/media relations on ad‑hoc projects and planning. Manage data, analytics, and reporting, understanding how media coverage drives impact for the brand and business. Manage and liaise with external agencies, consultants, and partners. Collaborate with the talent relations team to maximize synergies between paid and earned relationships, including showroom appointments and gifting events. Qualifications
College degree in Communication, Marketing, or PR, or equivalent experience. 2–4 years of experience in media or fashion PR in an agency or in‑house capacity. Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills. Strategic thinker who can plan ahead and foresee opportunities. Creative, solution‑driven, and open to feedback. Strong brand ambassador with professional maturity.
