Position: Marketing Coordinator Pay Range: $55,723.20 - $60,000 Status: Exempt Last Revised: 09/2025

Definition:

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for raising community awareness of The Children's Cabinet's mission and programs. This includes developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing plan with strategies for utilizing media and corporate contacts, website and social media content, advertisements, public service announcements, and media releases.

Reports to: Marketing Manager. Supervision Exercised: Student interns and community volunteers.

Duties

Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the Fund Development Team to execute a marketing strategy for The Children's Cabinet and ensure the success of all aspects of the plan.

Achieve and communicate a thorough understanding of The Children's Cabinet's programs, mission, and strategic priorities.

Identify and communicate stories that highlight need, impact, and donor value in collaboration with Program Directors and staff.

Responsible for The Children's Cabinet's social media strategy, determining platform priorities, messaging approach, and content direction across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and other platforms.

Represent The Children's Cabinet in public and at outreach events. May include leading building tours and giving informational presentations to local businesses, clubs, and associations as needed.

Update and maintain website content to ensure it is current, accurate, and reflects our brand messaging. Includes tracking website analytics, making regular updates, and coordinating content with program directors.

Coordinate the development and lead the implementation of public service/awareness campaigns (social media, print, radio, television, and billboard).

Develop a yearlong editorial calendar for a monthly e‑newsletter. Create content and graphics for newsletter utilizing Constant Contact for distribution of e‑newsletter.

Lead creative direction and final approval for in‑house design projects; oversee external design, print, and mail vendors; and manage branded materials inventory and procurement.

Advise staff in all departments on how to create print and promotional materials that reinforce The Cabinet's brand (style, look, and message). Ensure that organization messages are consistent, accurate, and impactful.

Support The Children's Cabinet's Fund Development team by strategically directing marketing components of fundraising activities, special events, and donor engagement initiatives.

Lead and coordinate the implementation of marketing plans, campaigns, and strategies for all departments, events, and third‑party fundraising initiatives.

Coordinate outreach efforts with the Community Outreach Coordinator and take lead on non‑programmatic outreach events.

Assist the Marketing and Communications Manager in managing and making recommendations and decisions related to the annual advertising and marketing budget.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong understanding of digital marketing, content creation, and social media management.

Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) and scheduling tools.

Familiarity with graphic design principles and basic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.

Ability to manage website content, communications, and analytics (e.g., WordPress, Constant Contact, or similar platforms).

Computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database programs, etc., and a desire to learn new programs.

Possess photography and videography skills with an understanding of basic principles for capturing and editing visual content.

Ability to

Independently develop high‑quality, engaging content that aligns with The Children's Cabinet's mission and resonates with diverse audiences.

Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced and often sensitive environment.

Build and maintain relationships with various community agency partners to improve access to services.

Manage large volumes of information, multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy office environment.

Work evenings and weekends as needed. Some travel required; office visits and/or training.

Special Requirements

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Three to Five years of experience in marketing and communications, public relations, or a related field.

Be able to pass a background check.

Bilingual a plus.

Must have a reliable vehicle to get to and from work, events, and errands.

Must possess a valid Nevada Driver's license, proof of insurance for utilizing a personal vehicle for company business, and a clean driving record.

Must be capable of fulfilling all the physical aspects of the job, including but not limited to: being able to lift and carry 50 lbs; walking up and down stairs; repetitive keystroking (initiating and responding to e‑mails, typing copy, etc.).
