Logistics Coordinator
Location Des Moines, IA
Base Pay Range $43,000.00/yr – $48,000.00/yr

Responsibilities๊ก
Plan, route, and monitor daily shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and related records.
Coordinate closely with client services, suppliers, production, and warehouse teams to keep product moving efficiently.
Track shipments, monitor loads, and proactively identify potential delays or issues.
Respond quickly to shipping errors, delays, or discrepancies and drive resolution, including occasional nights or weekends as needed.
Perform root‑cause analysisजातसेण on logistics issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and shipment data using spreadsheets and logistics systems.
Analyze current logistics processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and control costs.
Manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
College degree in Supply Chain or Procurement related field, or high‑school diploma with 1–3 years of equivalent experience.
Preferred: two years of customer service experience.
Ability to handle multiple shipments and purchase orders simultaneously.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills; able to work cross‑functionally.
Proven problem‑solving and analytical abilities, especially under pressure.
Understanding of supply chain operations, common challenges, and effective solutions.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing logistics environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience with standard logistics or transportation management software.
