Job Responsibilities
Shift assignment(s) are made based on operational needs and subject to change – (see “Work Hours” for hours of operation) The officer would be expected to perform routine security patrols, investigate reported and self-initiated complaints; investigate and prepare reports on all incidents reported to security (criminal complaints, fire alarms, injuries, accidents and illnesses); respond to emergency situations, assist with building evacuation, and provide aid and assistance where needed; assist with medical needs and call for or provide transportation to medical resources. Other routine duties include on‑campus parking and traffic enforcement and control, enforcing college regulations, and locking and unlocking campus buildings. The officer will also be available to operate all department vehicles which include campus shuttles and provide security escorts to students, faculty and staff upon request.
Education
Required: Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice
Experience
Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred but not required.
Licenses
Must have a valid driver’s license with no significant convictions.
All officers must possess a valid NYS Security Guard license. If you are not currently licensed as a NYS Security Guard, Fisher will take care of the expenses associated withinstellungen obtaining your license.
Physical Demands
Good physical condition required, including hearing, eyesight and walking ability
Good verbal and writing skills
Supervision of Employees Assist with supervising student workers/shuttle drivers on shift.
All campus-owned and controlled properties. Patrols, inspections and investigations require frequent indoor and outdoor routines in all types of weather conditions; foot, vehicle and stationary patrols required; possible exposure to hazardous materials, severe weather conditions and physical confrontations with unstable personsғаш and individuals who are violating laws and regulations.

Salary / Hour implies Range $20.00 per hour – Don’t have NYS Security Guard license? No problem! Fisher will cover the cost for your license and new hires will be eligible for a $1,000 retention bonus after completing 12 months of employment.
Notes The salary range for this role is set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, qualifications, experience, and education. The above hiring range is one component of the University’s competitive Total Rewards package.
