Employed Hospitalist Opening (Nights) – Vassar Brothers, Poughkeepsie, NY
Vassar Brothers Medical Center, part of Nuvance Health and now Northwell Health, seeks a full‑time Nurse Practitioner to join the Hospitalist team. This is an excellent employed opportunity at a large community hospital in a beautiful suburban NY location.
JOB HIGHLIGHTS
12‑hour shifts
Nights: 7 pm – 7 am
Responds to RRT and other in‑house emergencies such as Code Stroke, Code Sepsis, etc. (no Code Blue)
Discharge follow‑up calls including lab/test results and pharmacy calls
Integrates into a team with clinical autonomy and physician backup and support at all times
Vassar is building a new 696,000‑sq‑ft, seven‑level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical rooms and 30 critical‑care rooms

QUALIFICATIONS For newly graduated candidates, a strong inpatient nursing med‑surg or critical‑care background is desired. For practicing candidates, hospitalist experience or highly functioning outpatient experience is recommended.
