The starting wage for this position is
$31.18 per hour . Additional compensation may be offered based on relevant experience and transferable skills.

Responsibilities
Conduct virtual and on‑site investigations by visiting policyholder residences to assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate loss extent, and negotiate fair settlements.
Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to determine claims‑related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment.
Evaluate and report on potential sub‑rogation opportunities.
Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate state and industry agencies.
Perform duties independently with direct impact on management outcomes.
Act as a company representative in public interactions, maintaining a professional demeanor consistent with management standards.
Engage regularly with stakeholders: policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals.
Use strong customer service skills to negotiate settlements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent customer service experience, preferably retail.
Construction or insurance experience highly desirable.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
Eager to learn insurance policies and property damage coverage.
Outgoing personality, enjoys interacting with diverse people.
Valid driver’s license and bondable. Final candidates will undergo a motor vehicle record background check.
Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, achieve passing score on training exams.
Physical Requirements
Bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sorting, carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing, reaching, standing, walking, seeing.
Speaking, reading, writing (English); key entering.
Location US – New Jersey – Elizabeth.
