STEPS Facilities Events Specialist Job Summary:

The Gatton Student Center STEPS Facilities Event Specialist reports directly to the Student Center Operations Specialist and performs set‑up and breakdown to ensure safety and efficiency for all meetings and events in the UK Student Center and select other locations.

Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50 lbs; Standing or walking carrying objects up to 25 lbs

Shift:

Hours will be scheduled by supervisor (40 hours/week). 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Event Management Office and direct student employees in proper set‑up procedures.

Transport equipment and materials to and from specified locations, including picking up and delivering goods, furniture, and staging; load, deliver, unload, and place/Install all event equipment and materials.

Coordinate with the Event Management Office to provide equipment, furniture, and materials for various University‑related meetings and events.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Knowledge of stage setup is a plus(" ?? ").

Preferred Education/Experience Experience in set‑up and break‑down of events and transportation of materials.
