Multimedia Coordinator
– Inside Higher Ed
Responsibilities
Record long‑ and short‑form video content, including programmatic videos, interviews, testimonials, television commercials and promotional videos to enhance the college’s reputation and drive enrollment.
Direct talent on site, coordinate with crew members, select camera angles and lighting, and ensure visual and audio elements align to produce high‑quality final product.
Propose video Tennivers, create production schedules, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet project requirements.
Edit video and audio footage, create and insert graphics, add music or sound effects, format for web, social media and print, and archive content appropriately.
Capture photos of college events, plan and execute staged photoshoots, process, edit, distribute, keyword and archive images.
Stay current on industry trends and bring new approaches across platforms such as YouTube, Tik Tok and Instagram.
Utilize animation tools to create animated videos from concept to final product.
Assist in live‑streaming of college events in collaboration with the IT department.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or Associate degree in Multimedia Production, Film, Digital Media or Marketing plus a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
Minimum two years of professional videography and photography experience.
Experience in a marketing department or agency environment is a plus.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects); knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
Strong understanding of output specifications for web, social media and print.
Ability and desire to learn and implement new visual media technologies.
Excellent multitasking, flexibility, organization and project‑management skills.
