Long Field House## Pay Grade:## Job Description:**College of Human Sciences & Education****School of Kinesiology****Assistant Professor of Professional Practice (2 positions)**The School of Kinesiology announces the availability of two full-time (9-month non-tenure track) Assistant Professor of Professional Practice for our online offerings. The primary duties for this position include the development and instruction of undergraduate courses in Kinesiology with a concentration in health and health promotion. The successful candidate will have a background that supports involvement in kinesiology, allied health professions, or related areas and will have a commitment to scholarly teaching excellence and service to the profession as well as strong interpersonal communication skills. The preferred appointment date will be effective August 15, 2026, but is negotiable.***Websites:***

The School of Kinesiology website address is lsu.edu/kinesiology.***Required Qualifications:*** Earned doctorate or clinical doctorate in Kinesiology or a related field with teaching experience in core subjects in Kinesiology, evidence of ability to advise undergraduate students, strong communication skills with a desire to mentor undergraduate students who are remote, experience with the development and teaching of online courses.***Responsibilities:*** (1) Developing undergraduate online courses related to kinesiology, in particular core classes in kinesiology (biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor development, motor learning, neuromotor control, and/or research methods), (2) Teaching undergraduate online courses related to kinesiology, in particular core classes in kinesiology (biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor development, motor learning, neuromotor control, and/or research methods) (3) advise and mentor students in the online health and health promotion concentration, (4) service on School, College, University, and Profession-based committees as appropriate.
