Responsibilities
Assist the Varsity Head Track Coach with the entire Track Program (Boys and Girls).
Be knowledgeable about game management, rules, and athlete eligibility.
Develop, monitor, supervise, and train student-athletes for competitive track performance.
Design and implement effective training programs and schedules.
Motivate and mentor student-athletes on and off the track.
Teach fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for both individual and team success.
Encourage moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self‑discipline, and self‑confidence.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.
Ensure the safety and well‑being of student‑athletes.
Communicate promptly with the School Athletic Director and the District Athletic Department regarding information requests.
Adhere to the requirements mandated by the District Board of Education, the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) for Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification and the ODE Pupil Activity Permit (PAP).
Check academic eligibility status for all prospective student‑athletes.
Follow district policies outlined in the Coaches Handbook and meet all criteria in the job description.
Model expected behavior by being timely, positive, respectful试玩, functional, constructive, and exhibiting disciplined practice conduct.
Maintain satisfactory sideline conduct and language at all times.
Accept and utilize constructive criticism and suggestions forúc coaching performance improvement.
Implement administrative policies set by the District Board of Education, Superintendents, School Principals, Conference Leagues, ODE, and OHSAA.
Provide in‑season training rules and out‑of‑season conduct guidance to athletes prior to season start; enforce due process for violations.
Participate in clinics and professional development programs to enhance coaching skills.
Attend school events suchcional (Awards Night, Pep Assemblies, Athletic Booster Meetings, etc.).
Ensure the team is well‑prepared for opponents.
Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment and supplies.
Skills / Qualifications
Fundraising experience.
Passionate dedication to inspire student‑athletes.
Prior track coaching experience preferred.
Ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
Positive role‑model behavior.
Knowledge and skills relevant to the sport of track.
Training / Certifications
Ohio Secondary Teaching Certificate preferred.
Evidence of successful past coaching at the High School and/or College level preferred.
County Police Records Check, State BCII Check overwinning, and a FBI Fingerprint Background Check required.
Ohiový Department of Education (ODE) Pupil Activity Permit (PAP) mandatory.
Proof of completion of Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification required.
Contract Provisions

Supplemental Annual Limited.
Salary:
Per Schedule E Contract of current C.F.T. Labor Agreement.
