Field Sales Support Specialist
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Sales Support Specialist to join our team. This position will manage inbound sales activities, build relationships with distributors and end users, and occasionally engage in outside sales activities such as site visits, customer meetings, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the close of sales with qualified leads to generate new business and ensure the client’s needs are met
Encourage potential clients to buy products and close the best possible deal
Build customer relationships (distributors & end users) with existing clients by reaching out via phone calls, emails, or other forms of communication to increase the likelihood of them purchasing again
Use CRM software to maintain a database of current information on new sales opportunities as well as existing customers
Track sales cycle progress on a monthly and quarterly basis to make sure customer acquisition goals are met
Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support
Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, digital resources, and Industrial Info Resource software
Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients
Presenting and delivering information to potential clients
Answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions
Working with sales team when closing sale
Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
Building pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales
Maintaining database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
Closing sales and working with client through closing process
Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound inquiries, quotations, and order management
Support customers by identifying appropriate LED lighting products for hazardous and industrial environments
Work closely with channel partners, electrical distributors, EPC firms, and end users
Prepare detailed proposals, pricing, and technical documentation
Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure order accuracy and on-time delivery
Maintain CRM data and provide regular sales pipeline updates
Outside Sales Responsibilities
Conduct customer visits within the Houston and Gulf Coast region (10–20% travel)
Attend trade shows, training sessions, and industry events to promote the brand and products
Provide on-site product presentations and project support to key accounts
Gather market insights and feedback to inform new product development and marketing strategies
Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in inside/outside sales, preferably within LED lighting, electrical, or industrial product industries
Familiarity with hazardous location classifications (Class I, Division 1 & 2, ATEX, IECEx) strongly preferred
Previous sales training such as strategic selling, professional selling, Sandler, or SPIN selling is a plus.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office
Must be a self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively
