Position Description The Mathematics Department at Texas State University seeks outstanding educators to support its teaching mission by filling several lecturer positions beginning in Fall 2026. These non‑tenure track positions are nine‑month, full‑time teaching appointments.

Required Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics is required.

Applicants whose degree is in a closely related field must meet SACS accreditation standards for teaching in a mathematics department.

Previous undergraduate teaching experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related area is preferred.
