Position Summary The College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (CULLS) is seeking a friendly, reliable student to join our Dean’s Office team as an Office Assistant. This position is a great fit for students looking to gain professional experience in a welcoming environment while performing straightforward, day-to-day tasks that help keep the office running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Welcome visitors to the Dean’s Office and help connect them with the appropriate staff/faculty member.

Answer and route incoming phone calls.

Provide general office support for faculty and staff as needed.

Assist with opening and closing the Dean’s Office and help maintain a clean, inviting workspace.

Support simple marketing tasks such as posting pre‑made content to social media, putting up signage, organizing materials, and assisting with digital signage updates.

Help with event setup for activities hosted in the University Libraries.

Participate in occasional small projects assigned within the Dean’s Office.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled at UNM for a minimum of 6 credit hours during the normal school year.

Current Work Study award.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Clear and friendly communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to take initiative and help problem‑solve when needed.

Comfort with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).

Prior office experience is preferred but not required.
