Summary/ Objective:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic
Maintenance Manager to lead and coordinate maintenance operations across
Robotic Welding, Metal Stamping, Ecoat, and Facilities
within a high-volume Tier One Automotive Manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives aligned with safety, quality, and production goals.
Essential Functions (but are not limited to):
Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.
Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for robotic welding cells, stamping presses, Ecoat systems, and facility infrastructure.
Leads continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment uptime, energy efficiency, and cost reduction.
Ensure optimal performance of robotic welding systems (e.g., Yaskawa, FANUC), stamping presses (Komatsu), and Ecoat lines.
Oversee troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
Manage facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and building maintenance.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Champion a culture of safety through training, audits, and proactive risk mitigation.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including spare parts inventory and capital projects.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and upgrades.
Maintain and create new KPIs for maintenance departments to drive performance improvements.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to support new product launches and process changes.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, providing updates on maintenance performance and strategic initiatives.
Lead regular team meetings and contribute to organizational planning sessions.
Regular attendance is required.
Must be flexible to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish YKTA Goals and objectives.
Qualifications Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5–7 years of maintenance leadership experience in automotive manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of robotic welding systems, metal stamping equipment, Ecoat processes, and facility management.
Proficiency in Plex, Excel, and lean manufacturing principles.
Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC, robotic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Environment :
Work is conducted in an industrial office/ plant setting.
Frequent movement throughout an industrial plant environment being exposed to high noise levels and equipment normally used in stamping / welding/ Ecoat environments.
Physical Demands :
Able to lift up to 33lbs.
Prolonged periods of standing on the plant floor.
Extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
Able to traverse the plant facility.
